Salyel Paris is the story of Fatimata, an african immigrants daughter, who grew up in France and live in Paris. She decided through the brand Salyel to honor her senegalese grand-mother ( Salyel is her nickname) and explore african cultures by revisiting african masks aesthetics and phylosophy.
Your clothes have a story that is important to know.
Knowing the cultural references and the intention behind each design is creating a connection to these cultures.
Like the traditional tribal masks our masks cannot just be reduced to their aesthetics. A tribal mask has always a function, a spiritual dimension, a power. That's why our masks are designed to remind you how powerful you are. Self confidence, determination, resilience, serenity... each mask has its own power.
